Virgo Talent is a great service. The owners are professional, courteous and respectful and many times they are on set insuring that everything is running smooth on their productions. The BG folks are also solid. The rate for non union is double that of the non-union rate for TV and film. They only take a small percentage of your pay only when you work (like an agent). I’ve been with them half a year and have worked some very good commercials and it’s always fun.
Way back in the 80’s I used to have a service that took or wanted percentage of your wages. When I would be recalled and contacted from the production company they would see my name on the call sheet and demand money. I am union so there is a issue with taking wages from background artists.
