It is the quintessential conversation starter of the background artist. Are you SAG? But what the heck does it mean? Ryan, a real casting director for background actors in Los Angeles explains it to us.
After being asked several times, I explain once and for all HOW to obtain the three SAG vouchers needed to get into the actors union (Screen Actors Guild).

I received my vouchers in the first 9 months of background and I was working like crazy to get them. 5 even 6 days a week. I got one on the 9th day of a long crazy shoot in the upside down ballroom of Poseidon Adventure 2006. One on a recall on The Black Dahlia and the third from the Show Bones 3 months after doing a favor for production (Moving furniture during a hellashish rainstorm at USC).
